Last Fall, the Oregon Legislature and the Governor approved HB 3991 which is $4.3 billion in higher gas taxes, DMV fees, and payroll taxes. They did not allow a public vote on it because they knew voters did not support it. Thanks to a tax referendum petition drive, the issue is now up for a public vote with Measure 120. Here is what is inside the measure:

History of Measure 120
Because the Legislature and the Governor signed HB 3991, the $4.3 billion gas tax would be law right now if it were not for three chief petitioners for the gas tax referendum petition. This referendum gathered a historic quarter-million signatures forcing a public vote on the gas tax so voters can have a say and for voters to reject it. Measure 120 is about giving the voters a say and stopping the $4.3 billion gas tax. People need to VOTE NO on MEASURE 120.
THE CHIEF PETITIONERS OF THE GAS TAX REFERENDUM CAMPAIGN WERE:
Bruce Starr, Oregon State Senator
Ed Diehl, Oregon State Representative
Jason Williams, Executive Director & Founder, Taxpayers Association of Oregon
